Well that quote works for me because I've been traveling for a long time. Today I attempted some hill repeats, I haven't done those since late February. In a word... HURT. I guess I just assumed because of all my Tri training that switching back over to running only would be a piece of cake. I'm finding out that is just not so. I feel like my muscles in charge of running only have gotten weak. Now I should have expected that being I was taking such a conservative approach to the run part of my Half Iron Man. I guess I was in denial.
"Success isn't how far you got, but the distance you traveled from where you started."

I opted to do quarter repeats instead of half mile ones. Frankly I don't need to kill myself but I do need to get stronger. All I can tell you is the times I was running back in February were very hard to touch. On a positive note I do think I found a do-able lacing for my Lunas! Patrick Sweeney who is sponsored by Barefoot Ted suggests this lacing.. So far I liked it. No moving around or having to constantly adjust them. I love the elastic ones Ted makes but they are expensive and when the bottom snaps it leaves you with barely any to retie.
I'm looking forward to seeing some progress in the next coming weeks.. I hope, I hope really hard.
